Blender Ambient Occlusion Bake Too Dark

Hey guys, I’m wondering if SCS could guide us on how to bake Ambient Occlusion to Vertex Color with this quality like in the Scania NextGen. I’ve tried using Blender ambient occlusion and 3ds max radiosity, but I coundn’t get near the quality on the model.

There is the option of baking the information of say a high poly object (A ship lets say, the slats on the side of the boat) onto a low poly model to give the little shadow details, but that involves the creation of a high poly model.
